What is All-on-4™
- All-on-4™ dental implants is a treatment that replaces a whole arch or both arches of missing or failing teeth with a fixed bridge attached to dental implants in one visit.
- All-on-4™ dental implants offers patients a full arch or both arches of fixed replacement teeth.
- All-on-4™ dental implants or Teeth in a day is for patients who have either no teeth or have failing teeth (and perhaps currently wear dentures).
- Since the temporary bridge is fixed, patients are free from their dentures on the day of surgery.
- On the day of surgery, any remaining teeth are extracted and four to six dental implants placed (our clinicians usually place six implants in the upper arch, and four to six implants in the lower arch), and bone augmentation may also be carried out.
- A temporary bridge is attached to the supporting implants.
- Four to six months later (allowing the implants to fuse with the bone), the final metal-reinforced fixed bridge is fitted.

All-on-4™, also known as Same Day Smile or Same Day Teeth, is a revolutionary, scientifically-proven technique where a whole arch of failing teeth is replaced by dental implants in a single visit. It is a suitable option for patients who have previously been unable to have dental implants due to bone loss in the jaw.
Who is suitable?
The All-on-4™ procedure works best for people with significant tooth loss or decay, and for people who have previously been unable to have dental implants due to bone loss in the jaw area.
Does the procedure hurt?
The All-on-4™ procedure is specifically designed to minimise pain, and you will be given a local anaesthetic or sedative while your four implants are inserted. Afterwards, there will be some minimal swelling and soreness, but a normal painkiller will tackle this. In fact, patients have often reported being surprised at how little pain they feel and how quickly they recover – many patients comfortably return to work the very next day after the procedure.
Will the results look natural?
As highly trained dental specialists, you can rest assured that we will work with you to make the most suitable replacement teeth, both in shape and shade, so that they are virtually indistinguishable from your natural healthy teeth. In addition, the moulds we make are carefully sculpted from the natural contours of your jaw to ensure a perfect fit.
Is age a factor for the success of dental implants?
Health is much more of a determining factor than age – if you’re healthy enough to have a tooth extracted, in most cases you will be healthy enough to receive dental implants. Nevertheless, we will do a thorough assessment of your mouth, teeth and jaw bone to make sure you get the best results.
